The Procedural Standards Course will help us understand the importance of establishing a station set up and tear down procedure and to follow it the same way every time.  Having a standard operating procedure in place ensures that we do not miss a step which could possibly expose someone to cross-contamination.

Arranging furniture and lighting, gathering and assembling the supplies needed for the procedure, disinfecting environmental surfaces, and applying impermeable barrier film to surfaces that may be touched during the procedure, is all done in the workstation preferably before seating the client.
